« Day 6. Early in the morning, I headed to the picturesque Amber Fort, the old capital of the state of Rajasthan, near Jaipur. This place is renowned for its impressive architecture. I've seen three forts in India already and thought it would be hard to be amazed again, but the grandeur and scale of Amber Fort truly took my breath away. Just the Sheesh Mahal - a hall decorated with thousands of tiny mirrors - is something to behold. It’s said that it can be illuminated by the light of just one small candle.
From time to time, I noticed organized groups of tourists exploring the fort with guides, usually following a similar route as mine. Sometimes it seems that way is a lot simpler, the guides take care of everything, showing their groups around and sharing stories. But today I was absolutely convinced that there was no need for that—just being here is enough! The program focuses entirely on Amber Fort, and that’s all you need. I loved getting lost in its numerous rooms and balconies with intricate lattice windows, then following the winding path up to another fort—Jaigarh, which was once home to around 100 cannons and, although it’s not as grand in size, it offers an even more impressive view.
Afterward, I wandered through the quaint village where I stumbled upon an ancient staircase, which I had always wanted to see, and serendipitously found myself in an old Indian temple dedicated to Shiva. Such little-known and interesting spots add a unique charm to solo adventures! 🌟 »
« Jaipur left us in awe with the beauty of its architecture. The Pink City - that's what it's been called since ancient times, and even now, the walls of the old town are painted in a charming pink hue. Yet here, we are surrounded by shades of green - in the photo is one of the inner courtyards of the City Palace with four doors. Each one more beautiful than the last. Looking at them, you experience an illusion - the pattern seems to be in constant motion. There are many similar images online where the picture appears still, but it gives off the impression of continuous movement - a kind of vibration.
It's truly remarkable what the artisans of those times achieved. In a word - amazing! »
« For some reason, this Indian city doesn’t have the hustle, grime, poverty, or awful smells like Delhi. If you're only going to Delhi in India, that's a huge mistake; make sure to visit several cities to get a proper sense of this country. My perspective is already shaping up in a positive way, despite the dreadful capital. :))☺️ »
« Jaipur is such a stunning city! You really should start your journey in India here, instead of Delhi, to preserve that initial impression of the country. It's a beautiful place that truly captivated us! 🌸✨ »
« Today, we started to fall in love with India, and it’s all thanks to the beautiful city of Jaipur and its endless array of attractions! »
