Kumbhalgarh Fort
Rising above the rugged landscape of the Aravalli range, Kumbhalgarh Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage site located approximately 85 kilometers northwest of Udaipur. Built in the 15th century by Maharana Kumbha, this fort is renowned for its impressive wall, which stretches over 36 kilometers, making it the second-longest in the world. Originally serving as a stronghold for the Rajput rulers, the fort offers visitors a glimpse into its rich history through its many temples and palaces. The best time to visit is between October and March when the weather is more temperate.
