« Kashi Vishwanath Temple is one of the most renowned Hindu temples dedicated to Shiva, located in the sacred city of Varanasi. This temple is widely recognized as one of the most important sites for Hindu worship, attracting many saints throughout history. A visit to this temple and a dip in the Ganges are considered among the paths to achieving moksha. Thus, people from all over India strive to visit this place at least once in their lifetime. »

« This is one of those places in Varanasi that everyone says you should visit. The mosque. I wasn't impressed; wandering through the labyrinths of this city is much more interesting. We actually walked back that way for a couple of hours. Time just stands still there. 😊 »

« The road to the main temple of Varanasi: Kashi Vishwanath. The first time, I could only see the walls surrounding the temple. To enter, tourists must present a passport, fill out a form, and undergo an interview to assess their interest in Hinduism.

To get close to the temple (this rule applies to everyone), you need to leave your shoes and all belongings somewhere. You can only bring money and offerings with you.

Kashi Vishwanath is not just one of the most famous Shiva temples; it houses one of the 12 Jyotirlingas.

And here's a little bonus: those who visit this temple see a significant increase in their chances of attaining Moksha after death. »
