« Lost Canyon, Bali.

What an intriguing place! You wouldn't guess from the outside that just a few steps down, there's a rushing river and imposing stone cliffs.

At first, I declined the guide services when buying my ticket, not knowing what I was getting into. I quickly realized my mistake—there were no trails or signs, just the river and rocks... Luckily, a local guide came along and helped me navigate the whole route—huge thanks to him, I couldn't have managed without his assistance. I found myself wading through the river up to my waist, climbing over cliffs right above the abyss, and hopping across slippery stones. Overall, big shoutout to my guide for the help and the photos!

This place is a canyon you absolutely must visit! »

« One of the island's attractions is the Abandoned Hotel. The name sparks the imagination... countless legends surround this place. There are tales of spirits, ghosts, mass disappearances of guests, and mysterious deaths... locals say they steer clear of the hotel.

But we had an unusually honest guide, and we heard the real story of the Abandoned Hotel. The hotel was built 16 years ago when tourism in Bali was not as developed. This massive, luxurious hotel, located in the heart of the island, far from the beaches and nightlife, ended up being unused. It had to close after just 4 years. For the past 12 years, the hotel hasn't welcomed guests. The buildings have deteriorated, cobwebs are everywhere, plants are creeping into rooms, and the walls are covered in scribbles and graffiti. Yet, from the roofs and balconies, there are still stunning views of the jungles, rice terraces, and nearby villages.

The place gained special popularity among tourists after the release of "Orel i Reshka." Currently, the hotel is up for sale, and visiting the grounds is not allowed. But enterprising locals put a chain at the entrance and charge a modest fee of 10,000 IDR (about $0.65) for a glimpse of the attraction. »
