« Today, we enjoyed some marine adventures again. We woke up at 5 in the morning to meet the whale sharks 🐋. This wonderful experience costs around $10, and on top of that, we rented a photo equipment for about $6 for four hours. However, the service was a bit slow. Soon we found ourselves swimming in the water taking photos. We even saw some friendly sharks, who were accompanied by small fish. Whale sharks are not dangerous to people; essentially, they don’t react even if you swim close to them, but we were advised not to get any closer than about 13 feet. Although, sometimes the sharks themselves broke this distance 😂. I didn't feel scared, just amazed.  »

« The next island on our journey is Cebu. It's not as rough around the edges as Manila, but it's still got its quirks. There are significantly fewer homeless people and other issues, prices are more affordable, and there are decent shopping malls with food courts. »

« If I had to describe this city in two words - not touristy. When you read articles about Cebu, they promise you pristine beaches and incredible adventures through historical sites, which unfortunately aren't there :( On the plus side: low prices, friendly people, and pleasant fresh weather. You can also take various interesting tours and excursions from Cebu. On the downside: there’s really no place to swim in Cebu itself; all the decent beaches are attached to hotels and require a significant fee to access. Secondly, the traffic is absolutely chaotic. Thirdly, there's a shocking level of poverty and a large number of beggars. Overall, it's a convenient place for transit to other islands ;) »
