« Cultural evening leisure in Manila, we visited the oldest district of modern Manila, surrounded by walls, established by the Spanish in the east of the island to protect Spanish-speaking military families and administration from Chinese pirate attacks. For a long time, Intramuros was synonymous with this history. It became a center for the spread of Catholicism, along with the Spanish language in Asia.
