White Sand Dunes
White Sand Dunes, located about 25 kilometers northeast of Phan Thiet, is a striking natural landscape characterized by its expansive stretches of fine, white sand. The area is renowned for its rich history as a former base for the Cham civilization, who ruled much of Central and Southern Vietnam from the 2nd to the 15th centuries. Today, visitors flock to this site to engage in activities like sandboarding or simply exploring the undulating dunes that sometimes reach heights of 30 meters. The best time to explore is from November to April when the weather is drier and cooler. While you're there, keep an eye out for local flora such as dune grass and the occasional sand fox, adding to the unique ecosystem of the area.
