« So, I didn't finish talking about the bars. To fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of medieval Bruges, to the point where you don't even need to imagine anything—except maybe for the costumes—everything: the chairs, the walls, the stones within those walls, and the clattering of horse hooves on the cobblestones, all tell the story of this time, this timeless history of old Bruges. You should definitely visit De Garre and Cafe Vlissinghe. They can't really be classified as tourist spots, which is nice; if you don't know about them, you probably won’t stumble upon them. The first one is tucked away in a very narrow dead-end alley, and by the way, the locals say there's a lovely little restaurant called The Cookies nearby. The second one is an impressive 500 years old! :) In the photo, the bar looks just the same as it does now. »
