Trg kralja Tomislava
Trg kralja Tomislava, or King Tomislav Square, sits at the heart of Zagreb, just north of the main railway station. Established in the late 19th century, it honors Croatia's first king, Tomislav, who reigned in the early 10th century. This expansive square features a prominent equestrian statue of King Tomislav, surrounded by meticulously landscaped gardens and impressive views of the Zagreb Cathedral, making it a popular gathering spot. In December, the square transforms with festive lights and a lively Christmas market, attracting locals and visitors alike. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll through the green space and admire the surrounding architecture, including the art pavilion that adds an artistic touch to the area.
