« In Marseille, there's a tax on air! You pay for breathing! A family of three in a nice area spends about $1,600 a year on this! Want to pay less? Fill your lungs with air from a cheaper neighborhood, then hold your breath at home! »

« Just a 30-minute drive from Marseille, you'll find stunning coves with crystal-clear azure waters and picturesque cliffs all around - this is the Calanques. The beauty takes your breath away. Ferry tours to this place start at around $22, but if you go independently (by metro and bus), the trip will cost no more than $5. »

« Yet, Azure Coast is home to expensive yachts and luxurious boats. Docking fees start at around $425 per day, but there are no available spots! People from all over come here to spend their summer. It’s a mecca of high-end boutiques, hotels, and restaurants! ☀️⚓️ »

« "On the way to Marseille, we washed our pig. €2 was all it took for the joy!" »

« Today was a celebration where strawberries were the star of the show. Baskets of berries were flying off the shelves like hotcakes. It's the season, and the berries around Carpentr don't disappoint. To mark the occasion, there was a flea market in the historic center of Velleron with all sorts of knick-knacks. One local bragged about buying a Canon lens for €6. I wonder if it actually works? 🍓✨ »

« Not friendly France, especially with Marseille leading the way. The port is really far away. There's not much to see, and tickets needed to be booked in advance. I saved about a hundred euros, but my flight is only at 7 PM :-( :-( »

« On our last day in Marseille, we stopped by H&M for a little top for the journey, and wow, what a surprise! Sales everywhere! Instead of a simple top, we ended up buying 3 amazing dresses for just €5 each and a sweater! The big challenge was cramming everything into our backpacks. Thank goodness they were super stretchy! 😊 »

« Friends, let’s be honest with each other... the train system in France is a disaster! First off, on the day of departure, you can't find a ticket from Paris to Marseille for less than $100, which is honestly too much even for their so-called high-speed trains that, by the way, don't even have Wi-Fi! (If you want a cheap ticket, you need to buy it 2 months in advance for about $11). Then in Marseille, the cashier will insist that there are only 2 trains to Nice, with the most convenient one departing at 7:30 AM!!!! »

« "Marseille stuns with its contrasts... Immense wealth and poverty. The harbor with multi-billion dollar yachts and the smell on the streets. Salads for $23 in restaurants and children sliding on cardboard down concrete slopes. Expensive cars and narrow, dark alleys. It's worth visiting at least once, the city is striking.." »
