Jardin du Luxembourg
Jardin du Luxembourg sits in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, directly west of the iconic Panthéon. Dating back to 1612, this elegant garden was originally commissioned by Marie de' Medici as a place of solace and recreation. Today, it serves as a vibrant green space where locals and visitors alike can enjoy strolling among its tree-lined paths or relaxing by its famous fountains. In spring, particularly in April and May, the garden bursts into bloom with over 100 varieties of trees and seasonal flower displays. Guests can also explore the picturesque lawn chess areas, the Medici Fountain, and the beautiful Luxembourg Palace, which now houses the French Senate.
