Parc de la Prairie des Filtres
Parc de la Prairie des Filtres, nestled along the Garonne River in Toulouse, serves as a vibrant green space for both locals and visitors. Established in the late 1980s, this park was built on the former site of a water filtration station, a nod to its historical significance in the city's utilities. Spanning approximately 7 hectares, it features a spacious grassy area perfect for picnics, and is lined with walking paths that invite leisurely strolls. Each spring, from March to June, the park comes alive with seasonal flowers, attracting various bird species and offering a lively atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy scenic views of the river and the iconic Pont de Tournon while engaging in outdoor activities like cycling, jogging, or simply relaxing under the shade of its many trees.
