« The Stuttgart Christmas market is one of the largest and most beautiful in Germany, but also one of the most expensive. The market spans across two squares - the trading area in front of the Börsenplatz and Schillerplatz. Besides the grilled sausages, rustic potatoes, steaks, mulled wine, and other treats, you can find everything your heart desires at the market - Christmas ornaments, spices, teas, clothing, wooden crafts, and sweets at astronomical prices. (Although, I haven’t seen anyone willing to pay €9 for a 2cm ornament. We're still waiting for tourists!). Just past Schillerplatz, there's the Christmas ice rink, followed by a children's train - truly a pride of the city, along with various kids' attractions. On weekends, they hold baking sessions for children, where they roll out dough and cut out cookies, which are then baked right there, and the kids, full of pride, receive a bag of the most delicious cookies in the world. »
The place is quite popular. For those who don't know, "Outlet" is a complex where you can find various brand stores.
When I ventured into the outlet in Germany, it turned out to be a whole world of its own. 😱😱😱 The trendiest clothes, modern store designs, and tiny shops filled with amazing finds. 👗👕🛍️
As you walk in, your eyes widen, and you don't even know what to reach for first. Sometimes you pick up a sweater and feel like you're in one of those comedy films where everything is just a bit too much. 😂😂😂
I was also really impressed by the Germans. They dress elegantly, strolling through the stores, but there's this feeling that their sense of style isn't really about extravagance. They mostly opt for clothes in darker tones, which makes it all seem very practical.
I bought myself some shoes and a coat, and the prices still give me that "WOW" effect, just like the clothes themselves. The euro exchange rate makes it feel a bit steep sometimes.
Overall, we spent the entire day there and barely covered the entire outlet! ⏰ You really need to allocate sufficient time to explore this place. »
You can enjoy beer from over 330 local breweries and try wine in 0.4-liter cups. The atmosphere is vibrant, with friendly faces everywhere. If someone is already into the festivities, they're usually immersed in the crowd, soaking up the fun!
This year, around 4 million guests attended, and there were about 1500 participants serving drinks. You'll notice that men often dress in traditional attire, and girls wear their lovely dresses.
For ladies, it's super important to tie your dress correctly: the left side means single, and the right means taken!
The festival has been celebrated in Stuttgart for over 200 years, originally starting as a celebration of good harvests. Now, it's a huge gathering for all beer lovers, great food, and endless enjoyment. 😄
Enhancing the experience, the festival grounds offer many attractions. I regularly win soft toys from games; this year, I even snagged two from a machine for just 5 euros! 🧸
Entry to the festival is free, and you just pay for your drinks, typically served by various renowned breweries, featuring numerous wooden tables and benches where everyone dances and enjoys. »
I hesitated to spend 16 dollars on a piece of metal. »
