« Well, yesterday I finally filled in a gap by visiting the famous catacombs in Palermo, something I didn't manage to do two years ago. Impressions: it's not scary or creepy, as many say, but it's a bit unsettling when you see not just skeletons in clothing, but also ones with remnants of uncorrupted skin. Though after the Amsterdam anatomy museum, I guess it's hard to scare me! I wonder how appropriate it is from a religious perspective to display relics for public viewing and profit from it. Overall, I was a bit disappointed with the visit. »

« Good morning, everyone! Today, we’re diving into some serious enlightenment... We’ll explore the catacombs of the dead, visit the main palace, and just be amazed by the street traffic! »

« The Cathedral of Palermo is absolutely stunning; it's one of those cases where the exterior outshines the interior. The weather today is amazing, although soon a little rain will cool down the fiery Palermo and me. After checking out a few more sights and picking up a bunch of souvenirs, I headed to the Capuchin Catacombs. It's definitely not for the faint-hearted; you can't help but be haunted by the smell and dark thoughts. These bones and skulls were once people. Quite a horrifying sight. And now, here comes the rain. And food... 🍽️ »

« The Royal Box at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo. Magnificent! Monumental! La Scala didn't impress me as much! Unfortunately, the season hasn't started yet, but I got to visit the decorations, the dressing rooms, the hall, and of course, the royal box. I felt like Donna Corleone again! 😊 »

« If we had more time, we would have taken a tour of the Normandy Palace. »
