« Gerace. Verona. Amazing.
If I compared Venice with classical beauty of Venice, then Verona is like an ancient majestic gem. With a rich history and a present that shines brightly. I have no doubt that it will only get better in the future. Verona is 2000 years old. Ancient Roman structures are still standing, showcasing the grandeur of the Roman Empire for Northern nations. That’s why in its center there’s a working (!!!!) arena, built 30 years earlier than the Roman one. In the 30s. No, not in the 1930s, nor in the 1130s, or even in the 530s, but in the 30s AD! Earlier, gladiatorial games and spectacles were held here, and now world-famous concerts (like Madonna’s, for instance) take place, with operas running through the summer season.
The streets of Verona are lined with white marble plates. A river flows around the city. To this day, the ancestral walls and gateway to the city are intact. Yes, we saw the homes of Romeo and Juliet. It was truly a delight, I’ll tell you that. Just imagine stepping away from the heat in Venice to soak it all in here in Verona 😌.
In the courtyard of Juliet’s house - a crowd, walls covered with love notes (which they clean and repaint, but it still lasts a few months), behind Juliet's wall, it's completely covered in gum, notes and scribbles. If it weren’t cleaned up, the courtyard would be a trash heap within three to four days 😖. In general, Verona is the best place to “rest your eyes”. On the walls of its houses, frescos from the 15th-16th centuries remain, with plaster, paintings, while just outside the venue stands an absolutely fantastic amphitheater! There are three of those, but the same age also has five and theirs also has inscriptions that remain. We wanted to estimate them endlessly.
And yet Verona gave us a "gift". We managed to rent two bicycles 🚴♂️. With the same equipment on site, we struggled to figure it out. It required a card and a phone number. We only had one card for two, and based on the phone, we really struggled so that our numbers matched. But they didn’t coordinate and were sent to the help center. »
Absolutely beautiful Italian town. It conveys the atmosphere of the country even more than Milan.
Famous for the love story of Romeo and Juliet, Verona is where you'll find that iconic balcony of Juliet.
Honestly, it's safe to say this part of the town is one of the most beautiful. And, perhaps, all the charm stems just from this history (many say there’s really not much else to see).
In Verona, there are wonderful spots and balconies. Access is quite easy. It’s definitely worth taking a look.
Particularly lovely to see is the wall covered with notes from beloved ones💑. The spirit of romance is alive there.
Once we visited this charming spot, we simply wandered wherever our eyes led us. So many picturesque houses and gardens we saw😍. Words can’t express it!
If you’re in Italy, make sure to stop by Verona with your special someone🤗.
Happy travels, share kindness with each other❤️. »
In the photo, we are on a hill where we decided to take a panoramic shot. It’s a bit of a climb, but the view is totally worth it! 😍 »

Visiting the basilica requires a fee, but for some reason, on that particular day (January 7), we were able to enter without paying.
___ 📸 There's an incredible view of the center; you absolutely must walk to the lookout near San Pietro. The ascent (which starts directly across from the Ponte Pietra) is very simple, adorned with beautiful houses and nice viewpoints, so there’s really no need to take a funicular. And at the top, you'll be rewarded with a fantastic view of the whole city. »
