« The Dutch industrial designer Edward van Vliet has created the interior of the Yays Crane apartments, located right in the Figee Crane 2868 building in Amsterdam. This construction crane, which last operated in 1979, has been beautifully transformed into a mini-hotel covering an area of 430 square feet.

The apartments offer stunning views of the city’s iconic sights, featuring two bedrooms, a modern bathroom, and a well-equipped kitchen with a dining area. The interiors are crafted with a unique focus on authentic industrial details. Staying in this unusual hotel will cost around $750 per night. »

« The tale of selling for 12 euros what costs 2 💸. It seems people have calculated the value. Even 95 cents in the vending machine! With a twist 😒. »

« I really enjoyed the Van Gogh Museum. The entrance fee is €18, and we spent around 4 hours there. The audio guide was fascinating, providing enough interesting information about his life and his distinctive ear. However, the painting I had dreamed of seeing, "Starry Night," wasn’t there; you’ll need to go to New York to see it, as it has been there since 1941. But well, just another trip to plan! 😅 The main thing is that I lost or forgot my bag there... 😢 »

« This was a travel ticket. We bought it at the airport. It's designed for tourists and is good for one, two, or three days. We purchased for three days, costing €26 per person. It includes unlimited travel on all types of transportation. While I'm not sure about the specifics of trams, trains, and buses, I’d definitely recommend it! 😊 »

« The vibe here is relaxed, and it’s unreal to see all the different types of cannabis products available. You can find everything from regular sweets and chocolates to unique treats. You can easily buy some pre-rolls and enjoy right away. There are also these famous pastries infused with cannabis that everyone talks about—people say they are simply to die for!

Yesterday, I wanted to grab a beer at the Van Gogh Museum, and yes, they have that too. Heineken on tap in every corner! While we didn't go to the brewery itself, we stopped by a local bar instead. The price for a small beer was around $2.50. The bigger the beer, the cheaper it gets! By the way, the price of hot chocolate is also in the range of $2-2.50 for a small cup.  »

« It's normal that I couldn't post the promised update for three days because no photo fits in the profile. 🤷‍♀️ Yeah, it seems I have some issues.

So, here’s Amsterdam. There’s something for everyone here, with numerous museums, unique architecture, and food for every taste. If you're looking for new experiences, there's a square with red lights.

As for prices:
🔹Canal tours (boat trip with audio guide €12-€17). Perfect for those who love a relaxed vibe. We were on a boat full of seniors (or maybe some Koreans, who knows), and they were snapping selfies like they were real samurais, while we had to avoid being in the frame. It’s quite a chill experience, but the boats are crowded, making it a little tight for an overview.
🔹Museums. There are around 50 in Amsterdam, so everyone can find something for themselves. Ticket prices range from €8 to €27 per person. Students usually get discounts if they show their ID. Tickets for many museums are available online, so it’s wise to book in advance, especially during tourist season. Queues can get pretty long.
🔹Food. Just to be honest, we love to indulge in typical street food like kebabs and pancakes (average pancake menu for €9). In supermarkets, prices compared to other cities are about 20-30% higher, but upon entering the store, it's clear you're just "paying up" for quality.
🔹Coffee. I won’t go into details here, but I’ve read that a regular coffee costs around €3-€5, while an espresso with a macchiato goes for €5-€8.

That's about it, anything else you'd like to know about living here? Maybe something else interesting? »

« Recently, I complained about the lack of decent hair salons in Amsterdam, but my hair tips were clearly in need of a trim, so I had to go somewhere. I ended up at brainwash_kappers, and at first, the price of €16 raised my eyebrows – it's quite low. However, they did their job extremely quickly and exceptionally well, and I'm really pleased with the result ☺️ So I can honestly recommend them ☺️ »

« Tough Amsterdam McDonald's... a quest to find the restroom :))) You find it using this map, and surprise - pay 30 cents :))) This is not like our friendly McDonald's back home with free restrooms! »

« Who complained about expensive parking? In Amsterdam, it's almost 55 dollars a day. That's why there are not many cars in the city center. »
@d.pratsun
« I've already returned to Germany. A brief note about this morning. I woke up at 8 AM, quickly got ready, and went to pick up my car. The one truth about driving in Amsterdam is the expensive parking in the city. There are both covered and uncovered parking lots in the city center. Prices range from €2 to €4 per hour, or even more. Last time, I parked my car in an underground garage and paid €15 for three hours, but that was right in the city center. By the way, leaving your car there for a day would cost you €60! 😅 So, I decided to do some searching online and found a covered parking lot on the outskirts of the city for €15 a day. It took me 15 minutes to get from the parking lot to my hotel by tram, and a one-way ticket cost €3.60.

After picking up my car, I headed back to the center to buy some treats. I had to circle around a couple of times to find a spot to park. You can park diagonally, as in the photo, or parallel to the street. It's essential to ensure your car is parked so that its edges don’t extend beyond the boundaries of the parking space; otherwise, you'll get fined. This is because the streets are narrow, and delivery trucks need to get through. Each open parking lot has a parking meter where you need to enter your car's number and pay with a card for the chosen parking duration. Driving in the city is quite easy because the speed limit allows you to focus on everything: pedestrians, cyclists, and traffic in general.

Today it was rainier than yesterday, but that doesn’t take away from the beauty of Amsterdam. All those lovely streets, buildings, and colorful trees (the trees still have leaves of brown, yellow, and green) contribute to a cheerful vibe inside. 🌧️✨ »

« Flea market style ❤️
Over 2+ hours of browsing treasures ranging from $0.50 to $120.
I can barely even talk about it 😆
But the selection was quirky: jeans, nail polish, a baking dish, and a book holder - all mine now 😀💪🏼 »
@ninaverbina
« Due to the lack of nice weather today, we took a boat ride through the canals, costing 15 dollars each. The views were absolutely stunning! Check out this beautiful house on the waterfront – and that blue little booth? It's a canal house, right on the water – just adorable! 😊 But! The best boat tours are definitely in St. Petersburg! They come with a tour guide – a specially trained person with above-average knowledge, and if you're lucky, they even have some acting charisma. That's just how it is. Meanwhile, in Amsterdam, we sailed to the sound of silence. 😏 »
@zhenyavoevodina
« I bought a hat. And a dress. And markers for 1 euro each. I love flea markets! »
@magiks
« The red vessel on the left is the best way to explore Amsterdam from the water. For $12, you get an hour of stunning views. »
@eloizailinskaya
« Dinner at McDonald's. Combo meal 7.25 euros. They have SPARKLING Lipton!!!! 🍹 »
@tyrchanina
« Erotic Museum, located in the Red Light District, admission is 7 euros, which I still regret spending. »
@masalykina_n
« The museums have souvenirs that match their vibe. A knitted pineapple for 175 euros? 😂 Do we seriously need to talk about this?? »
@djlykov
« The zoo in Amsterdam is really great. Four hours feel like just five minutes. There are so many different species of animals. There are interactive exhibits too. In the center of the zoo, there's a cozy café, and right next to it, you'll find the enclosure with giraffes and zebras. Overall, if you're with a child, this is an amazing zoo. The entrance fee is around $22. So, if you’re in Amsterdam, definitely head there. Plus, there are tons of fantastic spots for your selfie shots! 😊 Amazing! »
@redragonnn
« The trip from Amsterdam to Rotterdam by train takes 45 minutes and costs €18, provided you buy a one-way intercity direct ticket. The regular train costs €15.50 and takes over two hours. »
@sun_and_snow07
« First, we headed out for a canal ride: the tour lasted an hour (by the way, parking in the center cost us $36 - $6/hour)! 😊 »
@strelkovakat
« Why? Why don't we have tulips for 8 euros for 50 pieces?! And such beautiful ones?! I've been crying all day about this and other things. I guess it's time to go home) I'm so tired! »
@golubevdima
« One of the "exhibits" at the sex museum in Amsterdam. Entrance fee is €4. There's exactly that much interest worth for the money. »
@oliapopkova
« In Amsterdam, I'm curly))) Today we explored all day and stumbled upon the flower market, 10 tulips cost €3. »
@elenasapogova
« Ah, Amsterdam)))
And the skull turned out to be quite charming))
Just 10 € for an evening full of entertainment!
I received so many compliments and even some cash! »
@katpalm33
« Today I visited a zoo, one of the oldest in the world. For €20, you get a ton of emotions, a planetarium, an aquarium, and a bit of cuddling with lemurs. And yes, they really know how to put on a show! 😊🌍🐒 »
@karabolya
« Holland and Germany (at least Dortmund) are overflowing with tulips. These beautiful flowers are usually sold in bunches of 10, 25, or 50. And the prices are amazing - a bunch of 50 tulips typically costs between $7 and $13. 🌷💐 »
@trittta
« A week pass for all types of public transport in Amsterdam costs 32 euros. That comes to about 4.57 euros per day. Do we have any week passes available? »
@trittta
« Flowers in Amsterdam: roses - 2.5 euros for 20 pcs. You can buy one fresh rose for about 1-2 euros! 🌹 »
@trittta
« My favorite little clogs, and now they make magnets too! My eyes are drawn to them. We first saw them in Amsterdam 14 years ago. Back then, buying them, even as souvenirs, was completely beyond our budget. That was in 1999. Today, I looked at the prices differently: larger, unpainted ones are 21 euros, and the smaller, more souvenir-sized ones – about 10 cm in length – are 9.5 euros. Now, it’s actually possible to buy them if you really want to. The magnets are 2.5 euros, and at street stalls, they go for around 2 euros. »
@zazabon
« "To all the flower sellers in town, may they all go under! $0.10 each!" »
