Błonia
Błonia, situated just west of the historic Wawel Castle in Krakow, serves as the city's expansive parkland, spanning approximately 48 hectares. Dating back to the 13th century, it has been a gathering spot for various public events, including papal visits and local festivals. This open green space is characterized by its vast meadows, which are perfect for picnics, sports, or leisurely walks. Every May, Błonia comes alive with the annual Krakow Half Marathon, attracting runners from all over. Visitors can also enjoy views of the nearby Slawkowski Peak and watch for the diverse bird species that make this area their home.
