Heaton Park
Heaton Park, located just north of Manchester city center, is one of the largest municipal parks in Europe, covering over 600 acres. Originally part of a 17th-century estate, Heaton Park features a historic plantation house known as Heaton Hall, which dates back to 1772. The park serves as a vibrant green space for recreation, featuring gardens, woodlands, and a boating lake. Throughout March, visitors can enjoy the beautiful blooms of daffodils and cherry blossoms that line the pathways. Activities range from walking and cycling to birdwatching, with a variety of local wildlife, including swans and numerous bird species, making it a delightful destination for nature enthusiasts.
