« ✅ Attending the carnival in Rio - done! 🎉 The carnival is celebrated throughout Brazil! The parades and festivities are almost everywhere! It lasts for 40 days leading up to Easter! It goes on for 4 days! They celebrate day and night!!! Everyone! Official parades across the entire country! The most spectacular parade in Rio is truly breathtaking! The Avenida Sambadrome is 700 meters long! Each day features different samba schools, with around 6 performing each night. One school has around 4,000 participants! They parade the sambadrome, and you can see that the costumes and floats are worth millions! Everything is incredibly vibrant with dancing, singing, and live music.

Around 100,000 spectators squeeze in, and we attended for 3 days of the carnival, participating in the strongest samba schools! It starts from 8 PM until 6 AM!!!
✅ Tickets can be bought online; we were lucky to buy them from a local seller on site, cheaper and very convenient. 9th sector - really great! But these are the cheapest upper seats on the concrete steps, costing about $200 each - the real price for half a year leading up to the parade is around $350.
💰 I regretted not saving just one dollar), it’s beautiful, grandiose! 🎊🎉 Cheers, samba, and my happy eyes 😍
- mesmerizing, it stuck in my memory! For those interested, the quality of the videos I recorded is great, and the overall view was splendid. »

« "Sugarloaf Mountain" is one of the most popular attractions in Rio de Janeiro. It offers a stunning view of the city and its surroundings. So, we couldn’t miss out on it! 😊

You can get there by cable car. First, you arrive at a nearby mountain. After snapping some photos and soaking in the views, you can move on to the final destination - "Sugarloaf Mountain." The panorama from both viewing platforms is absolutely breathtaking! You really start to appreciate how fortunate Rio is with its nature and location. It’s no wonder they say that in 6 days God created the whole world, and on the seventh day, he created Rio de Janeiro! (By the way, the cable car price can be quite steep. It's about $15 per person. But if you're under 22, you can get in much cheaper with your ID!) »

« In Rio, there’s a dedicated BRT bus line. The covered stops have air conditioning inside. It costs 3.8 reais, which is approximately $0.76, just like a regular bus :) You can always reach the airport or head to the beach without traffic jams. By the way, in the center of Rio, there are only regular buses to preserve the architectural heritage of the narrow streets. »

« What else to do in Rio on a rainy day?! There are plenty of options: settle into a cozy bar with a cold beer while listening to the local football fans sing "Ola-ola," ignore the rain and surrender to the powerful ocean waves, get lost in one of the many shopping malls, or, finally, indulge in some culture under the roofs of numerous museums... Or you could brew some Brazilian coffee and read a script from a Chinese soap opera, translated into English by Chinese people! ☔️ »

« Sugary Head and Urka Hill (with the accent on the last syllable): first, you take the cable car to the first one, then to the second. You get an amazing view of Copacabana and the city center. The ticket price is 17 dollars. »

« Arriving in Rio gives you such a unique feeling, like you're 15 and your parents sent you off to an amazing camp, and your head is spinning with excitement and desire for everything! But not everything is possible! A couple of wrong steps can earn you at least some dirty looks, or at worst, a knife at your throat, losing your phone, money, or even worse. Stay out of dark places, don’t stroll on the beach at night, and avoid certain neighborhoods. The poverty here is striking, and prices are higher than in many places. It's better now, but about four years ago, there was a video of a police helicopter being shot down by a rocket launcher from a favela. Speaking of favelas, they've managed quite well! From their reclaimed territory on the hills, you get stunning views of Rio, looking like a beautifully quilted, colorful blanket (from afar, of course). Some people might want to look ahead rather than down... 🌆✨ »
