« About the hot air balloon ride.
The price of a flight depends on the time of year – it's more expensive in the summer and cheaper in the winter. Generally, we found this service offered for around €70-75, both at the hotel where we stayed and at local agencies in the town. We managed to negotiate it down to €50 per person.
The time of the balloon ride also varies throughout the year; in the winter, it usually happens around sunrise to catch the beautiful morning light, while in the summer, it can start around 3-4 AM.
We paid for the flight directly at the agency (Fairyland Travel in town). The following morning at 6:30 AM, we were picked up from our hotel, brought to a café, and served tea/coffee along with cake for breakfast.

At this stage, you might hear that the flight could be canceled due to weather conditions (snow, rain, wind). After, we were taken to the launch site, and within about 10 minutes, we were all sorted. By 7:40 AM, we were already in the air.
One hour of flight in a hot air balloon passes like five minutes; just enough time to enjoy the views and take pictures. Unforgettable impressions stay with you after the flight! I thought it would be cold at altitude, but it turned out not to be so bad because of the warmth from the gas burner controlling the balloon.

The landing was very gentle, with the staff immediately setting up the basket on the vehicle platform. We were treated to champagne and medals after the flight. After a short celebration and the distribution of balloons, we were taken back to our hotels. By the beginning of the tenth hour, we were already back at our hotel, quite satisfied and heading for breakfast.

Honestly, I never thought my dream of flying in a hot air balloon would come true so quickly! 😊 »

« Horse riding is the best thing ever 🐎🏇 Have a great day, everyone! ☀️ In Cappadocia, I believe that horseback riding is the main form of recreation, right after hot air balloon rides. 🎉 It’s a wonderful opportunity to peacefully observe the local valleys or catch the sunrise without the crowd of tourists around. 😜

✅ In the surroundings, there are several ranches with horses, and you can either get there on your own or request a tour from your hotel; they’ll pick you up directly from there. 💰 The cost of such excursions varies depending on the time of day, number of people, and how long you want to ride, starting from $30 to $60.

❗ Don’t forget to bring some snacks; it’ll be easier to manage the horse. I haven’t ridden for about 10 years, but it all came back to me easily. My girlfriend Yeşil even tried to feed the horses some grass. 😉 No, I’m not complaining; I love horses and understand their hard tourist life. 🙏❓ Do you love horses too? ❓ »

« Kapadokya 🎉 is a place that you absolutely must visit ... this is Turkey that many don’t see and it’s not known to many 😎 The flight from Antalya or Istanbul is quite straightforward and you can enjoy a warm +3 degrees in the morning during the winter 🌞👌 To experience this magical view, you need to wake up at 6 in the morning ⏰😎 It's only done in the morning and just once a day when the balloons take off 🎈☀️ All other photographs are taken in the evening, where at dinner time, you might see something like that - it's mesmerising 😃😕😶‍🌫️ We managed to catch two sunrises and one was during the actual flight, which is definitely something to include in your itinerary 🙌 The feeling is even better when you hover above and when you enjoy the view of other balloons 🥰🎈 The cost of the flight starts from $95 ✈️✨ Balloons have been flying for over 20 years, and it’s a shame that we only recently heard about this amazing corner of Turkey 😱🐰 »

« In Cappadocia, practically every souvenir shop sells items made from natural stones, like onyx 🥰 (in the background), available in various sizes and colors. You'll find exquisite decorations and even whole pieces of amethyst; for instance, this amethyst costs 970 TL or around $36. A small piece of raw stone starts from 60 TL, which is approximately $2.20. They simply lie there on the street without any special security ✌🏽. »

« We stayed in Istanbul and Cappadocia. 🏰 As usual, we booked accommodation through Booking. There are hotels there for any taste and budget. As I previously advised, it’s best to book accommodation in the center so you won’t waste your time and money on transportation. 🏨 In Istanbul, we stayed in the Fatih district in a hotel with our own bathroom. The room was spacious and clean. The price included breakfast 🥞 (a regular breakfast, not a Swedish buffet 😂). The cost was about $60 for two nights for two people. 🏨 In Cappadocia, we stayed in a pension. The room also had its own bathroom. Breakfast was included, and there was a terrace; I’ve posted a photo from there. The cost of accommodation was about $45 for two nights for two people. In Goreme, it’s better to book a hotel with a terrace, so you can enjoy the atmosphere with balloon flights, which we didn’t see. 🙄 I wrote about that earlier. 🏨 Overall, we spent around $80 for accommodation in Turkey for two people over four nights.

Agree, that’s quite affordable! 😊 If your budget is even tighter, you might choose a room without a private bathroom; if you mainly need a place to sleep, you can also stay in hostels for 4-6 people. 😊 And you can also enjoy couch surfing (I’ll write about that separately)! ☺️ »

« Entry to the museum-house costs 2 liras. Turkish families come here in droves, all enthusiastically photographing the furniture and details of the interior. It was one of those moments when you feel like a stranger in a "holiday" joy. The impressions are beautiful, cold, and accompanied by delicious Turkish coffee ☕. ✔️ »
