Central Park
Central Park, nestled between the Upper West Side and Upper East Side of Manhattan, spans 843 acres and offers an expansive green oasis amid the urban hustle of New York City. Designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux and opened in 1858, it was the first landscaped public park in the U.S. Today, it serves as a recreational haven where visitors stroll along the 9.75 miles of walking tracks or enjoy activities like rowing on the 22-acre Central Park Lake. In April, the park bursts into color as cherry blossoms bloom, drawing many to the picturesque Cherry Hill area. Nature lovers can spot over 230 species of birds, while families often gather around the historic Bethesda Terrace to enjoy the view of the fountain and surrounding gardens.
