« Asia is incredibly diverse. You can find both very expensive and very cheap options for transportation. We, being fans of adventure and exotic experiences, opted for the cheapest choice. A comfortable bus with air conditioning!!! And, by the way, it had quality wi-fi!!! It cost us $3.50 per person. Just for comparison, a transfer would have been around $60. In 4 hours, we'll be in Manila. »

« Manila, what an odd city! It feels like the capital, but it's a capital of contrasts! It's best to choose the Makati district and explore the shops. But here's a strange thing! Manila is said to be a "paradise for shopaholics," yet the prices are absolutely insane! It seems like everything is made nearby, but why are they so much higher than elsewhere?! I still don't get it ))) »

« The smallest active volcano in the world, Taal! 😊 A 1.5-hour Uber ride for about $6 and we were there! »

« The main mode of transport for locals is the Jeepney, a minibus with the face of a jeep, where people almost jump on while it's still moving. The fare in Manila is around 12-18 pesos. It's quite vibrant! »

« "Domestic departure terminal in Manila airport. This is where you'll find reasonable prices. A delicious beef goulash for just $2.70! In the capital, at the airport!! We're flying from here to Kalibo, and then it's a transfer to Boracay." »

« In the country of the Philippines, wherever you go, you have to pay what's called a "terminal fee." This means that you might have all your tickets purchased, but you won't be allowed to board until you pay this fee. For example, today we had to pay the ferry terminal 100 pesos per person to leave the island, 200 pesos to fly to Manila, and 550 pesos from Manila to our next destination. Overall, to simply leave this country, you end up paying around $45 in fees for two people, in addition to the ticket prices. »

« You can buy such a handmade monster made of bamboo and composite materials in Manila for $1250. And believe me, it's worth it! At least rent it for an hour and take a ride if you're here. Absolutely amazing! Look for Bambike in the Intramuros area, near St. Augustine Church. ;) »

« A national treasure here are Jeepneys – the hand-crafted bus-jeeps made by Filipinos! Imagination runs wild with these! Jeepneys serve as public transport – similar to small buses. But the Philippines is a developing country, so there’s no budget to buy public transport for urban needs. The fare is just 5 pesos, which is about $0.09! »

« Philippine pesos. This is what 4250 pesos looks like = 100$. Beautiful banknotes. Behind their brightness and beauty lies the poverty and struggle of the country. »

« We got a really nice room! One of the cheapest options available in Manila for couples, and we're grateful for Agoda!!! The room costs about $16 per night. For Manila, the capital of the Philippines, that’s a great price. The room has everything except a fridge. And most importantly, the wifi is excellent!!! 🌟 »
