1. Pho is one of the most popular dishes in Vietnam. This is a soup with rice noodles and usually beef, although it can also be made with chicken or fish. Pho is served in practically every café and restaurant, and there’s even a chain called PHO24. People eat it in Vietnam with chopsticks, preferably for breakfast.
2. In Vietnam, very few people own cars. If a Vietnamese person wants to buy a car, they have to pay a 100% tax upon purchase, and then pay an annual tax of 20% of the car's value. In total, owning a car in Vietnam can cost as much as three cars in other countries, and over five years, the annual tax can add up to the cost of a fourth car. As you can see, owning a car is something only very wealthy Vietnamese can afford, but there’s always the option to hop on a scooter!
3. It’s hard to find regular cream for the face in stores; they only have whitening products. In Vietnam, it is considered prestigious to have light skin. Tanned skin is often associated with hard physical labor and lower social status. Women, especially, tend to prioritize staying indoors and covering up all year round to avoid the sun.
4. Vietnamese people can be very superstitious. Here are some common beliefs:
– If you see a woman on the street early in the morning, it’s considered an unlucky day (women are not counted)
– Seeing a funeral procession is considered bad luck
– It's frowned upon to take photos of a funeral, as it's believed that the deceased will haunt you
– If you’re crossing paths with someone, it’s said that the person will die
– If a black cat crosses your path, that person will rise
– May is considered an unlucky month for purchases
5. Wi-Fi passwords in Vietnam are not all that sophisticated. Almost everywhere you can find combinations like "12345678," "88888888" (where eight is considered a lucky number), or simply the name of the café or hotel in a blend of lowercase and uppercase letters. »

The calm sea with its gentle waves and soft white sand 🏖️ makes it even more inviting. We spent 2 days here, but it feels like we've been enjoying this little getaway for over a week! We’re just soaking it all in, living life to the fullest, with activities planned at different hours 🏃♀️🤗 and even more adventures ahead with various excursions ☀️. »
The second tower is dedicated to a male figure (one of the 97!) 🌌 This encourages thoughts of children, with two offerings available (you can choose a female option for a girl or a male option for a boy). The third tower honors the god Ganesha, as local guides say it relates to wisdom and well-being. 🌌 There are wishes for resolving personal problems associated with it. The fourth tower is dedicated to the god Shiva, the deity of destruction and creation. 🌌 It embodies all materiality.
This complex is a must-see—it's essential to enter each tower without shoes and preferably in light clothing. 🥰 The entrance fee is usually around $5. It’s gorgeous and calming! I'll share some pictures later! »
