« WHAT ABOUT BELGIUM?
I've been living in Belgium for 5 years now, originally from Antwerp.
LET ME SHARE MY OBSERVATIONS, which I haven't encountered elsewhere.
PIVOT VOCAL - a carousel list. Here, the sweet sound of delightful tunes accompanies each sip. An unassuming person could enjoy a big gulp of something and immediately feel all the joy.
BIRTHDAY - a serious approach; gift shops start opening from early September.
TRASH PLACES - it seems like I passed through the center of the city, and as if the trash module activates, started playing some catchy tunes.
BELGIAN WAFFLES - oh yes, they are everywhere!
NEVER INCRIMINATED BEAUTIFUL STREETS - you can find unique, picturesque areas in the old part of the city.
TONNED CARTONS - Belgians without takeout - not Belgians.
MACHINE WITH FRESH FRUIT - during summer and early September, trucks sell fresh fruit right in front of your home.
BICYCLES - the primary mode of transportation.
PARKING - you can try to park for 4 seasons in one day.
FRITURE CARTS - everything you can fry in oil is available and cooked to perfection.
WHERE ARE THE BELGIANS? - the population is mixed; in Antwerp, the pure-bred Belgians are a minority.
PAY FOR TRASH - Yes, yes, you want to throw out the trash? Pay up. And if you want to use public places? 350 euros fine.
I've gathered the most amusing observations I've encountered in Belgium. »
