« Toulouse-4 is a charming city in the south of France. The homes here are built from red bricks, giving the place a rosy hue that sometimes leads people to refer to it as the pink city. 🌸
During our stay in Toulouse, we had a layover of just 3 hours to explore the town. Buses leave directly from the airport to the city center. When we went to buy a ticket, we found out it cost €8 per person, which felt a bit pricey for us since we were already stretching our budget. Fortunately, we decided to wait for a later flight. We noticed a helpful information center and decided to check it out. Turns out, you can also reach the city center via the metro with just one transfer, and the ticket price in that case is around €2! 😄 Luckily, we didn’t miss out on this option! The journey took us just 20 minutes, which is pretty impressive for getting to the city center.
There’s not much information about Toulouse on tourist websites, and whatever is there seems outdated. Not to mention, the metro from the airport was hardly mentioned at all!
In summary, instead of the expected €32 for our transport, we ended up spending less than €10! 😄 This was a significant saving since we encountered an unpleasant surprise in Brussels later, but that's a story for another time. 🤔 »
