« Why is it essential to visit Düsseldorf? ⚫ First of all, it’s beautiful!
⚫ Secondly, the water energizes you, and Düsseldorf is located right on the Rhine River. Here, you can stroll along the waterfront for at least an hour or two. The scenery is unbelievable, and you won’t see any cars - all transport is underground – peaceful, wide, and just lovely. You can cross the bridge to the other side, take a ride on a pleasure boat, or just enjoy a drink by the water or in one of the floating restaurants. ⚫ By the way, let’s talk about the bars. If you’re taking it easy on the water, you might as well enjoy it on solid ground too. It's just a ten-minute walk to the old town, where lies Längste Theke der Welt (the longest bar counter in the world). It literally has bars one after the other. You’ll find one at every turn. There are 260 bars in one spot! Isn’t that incredible?! 🍺🍻 In general, there are also museums, opera houses, and shops. But if you’re just passing through, for example, from Cologne or Bonn, it’s worth wandering around the town and checking out a couple of bars - it’s really worth it. »
« You don't know what to do in Düsseldorf? Go shopping! It's the most popular street for the wealthiest people in town; it's a great place to see and be seen. If you stroll along the riverside during a warm day, you might catch a beautiful sunset by the Rhine. On sunny days, soak in all the views before you head back to the port area and check out the contemporary architecture of Düsseldorf. 🤩😊 »
« Düsseldorf 🇩🇪 You can get from the airport to the city in just a minute! 😉 Hotels here are actually cheaper than in Köln. Buses leave every half an hour, and the ticket costs around $14. You can also take a taxi, which is a nice alternative. 😉 We didn’t run across any inspectors in Germany, and honestly, I didn’t see any tourists around either.
Düsseldorf is associated for me with the sound of sirens 🚨. You can hear them all the time and everywhere! We even saw a car hit a person 😱. The traffic stopped immediately, and everyone got out to help the victim. An ambulance arrived super fast 🚑.
Altstadt, the historic center of the city, is beautiful and clean. It’s also nice to stroll along the Rhine promenade and check out the "largest bar counter in the world". There are bars for every taste and color! The local Alt beer, unlike Kölsch, is dark. I liked it a lot more 😉. They serve beer in small 200 ml glasses.
Overall, the feelings from the city are quite mixed. It depends on where you are; you can find yourself surrounded by turkeys with their kebabs, Syrians, and all sorts of odd people 😔.
The photos from Düsseldorf didn’t turn out so well, but let this be a reminder of my visit 😂. »
« Second place after Staro Goroda is the favorite spot for tourists and locals alike - Karelian Alley. It's a vibrant center filled with shops and culinary delights. Strolling around at night is a pure pleasure! 🌟 Just imagine how beautiful it is here in the summer 😍 *** »
« No, this is not London. The most delightful spot in the city is the waterfront lined with charming eateries. The cozy little center of Düsseldorf deserves attention. 😊 »
« Düsseldorf is just as cozy and compact as Cologne. I don't even know which city I liked more. And I haven't even visited Oberhausen yet! 😊 »
« I really liked this city - it has a lot of strange yet beautiful things. For example, Kiefernstrasse - a street where all the houses are painted. »
« Düsseldorf is a city of amazing shopping and vibrant bars. After three days, it feels like the city never sleeps. There's always a crowd on the streets. During the day, people are out and about, exploring stores and sales, while at night, they hit the bars and clubs. »
