« The second day in Germany started with a lovely walk to the BMW Museum. It's simply an amazing place! 😍 As I strolled through the museum, I noticed groups of men completely mesmerized by the cars, admiring each one as if it were a gorgeous woman. Honestly, the company has done a fantastic job with the marketing. They have two exhibition halls: one featuring the latest models and the other showcasing the entire history of BMW. The ticket costs €10, which is definitely worth it. If you have the chance, you must check out the pavilions. You won't regret it! 👌 »

« Lounge of items from silver. The crisis hasn’t skipped Germany. In stores, they sell packages for cash, sellers ask if you need a box for shoes, if you need paper in your bag; you can feel that they count every cent, but there are still those who buy a sweater for €300. »

« We didn't make it to Prague and stopped in Munich instead. My husband and I were here two years ago. We searched for the nearest hotel on Booking and checked into a very charming place, like a guesthouse, where we paid just $130 for a spacious two-level room! What a treat for Ki! We just want to relax here for a few days without a care in the world! It's all about us, a crawling baby, German beer for friends, goulash, sausages, sauerkraut, and peace! »

« Munich is a paradise for cyclists... it ranks first in the world for the total length of bike paths! There are 1,290 kilometers of cycling routes throughout the city, with the closest competitors being Amsterdam at 946 km and New York at 820 km. The cost of renting a standard bike in Munich starts from about $9 per day, and rental shops also offer electric bikes, tandems, and bike cars. 🚴‍♂️🌆 »

« That's why it's so clean in Germany!) A €50,000 fine for littering)) »

« This morning, I decided to skip my workout and climb the tower of St. Peter's Church to enjoy the sunny December day in Munich. The cost is €2 for adults and €1 for students and schoolchildren. 😊 »

« Good morning!
Finding accommodation in Munich is quite a challenge. The rental prices are not cheap, in fact, they are among the highest in Germany. Because of this, some people resort to unconventional methods for finding a roof over their heads. We spotted this ad yesterday at a traffic light. It catches the eye from a distance with its beautiful design and the quality of the paper it’s printed on. I hope the author's efforts pay off, and they get the desired apartment.
Here’s the text of the ad:
I, a 27-year-old true Munich resident, am urgently looking for an apartment. About me: open, reliable, employed (engineer), athlete.
About the apartment: around 430-540 sq. ft., up to $850 for everything. Additionally, the desired districts, phone number, and a promise of a reward of $425 for successful mediation. »

« To get a sense of the overall scale and material condition of the city, I like to use the double-decker buses. In Munich, there are three routes that cover nearly everything interesting, including the more distant residential areas. The price for a day ticket is one of the most expensive around, currently at about $23. »

« The Munich Metro (U-Bahn), along with the Munich S-Bahn, is arguably the main and most convenient mode of transportation. Opened on October 19, 1971, specifically for the 1972 Olympics, today the metro boasts 100 stations spanning just over 100 kilometers. Munich's system is considered one of the most efficient in Europe, thanks to a well-thought-out transfer system and complete accessibility with elevators and escalators. There are no turnstiles; passengers simply stop at mini-stamping machines if needed. Occasionally, conductors patrol the trains to ensure honesty, usually consisting of two strong and athletic-looking men with a stern demeanor. This year, Bavarians mentioned that the fine for fare evasion has increased to €60. »

« Men, be vigilant at Oktoberfest. Tipsy from beer and captivated by the charms—mainly emanating from the décolletage of the Bavarian beauty selling souvenirs—you might not notice that you've shelled out $54 for a feathered hat.😉 »

« Here’s another idea of what to do in the countryside near Munich. I don’t know why there's a belief that getting a German visa is really difficult. In reality, it's quite simple to register for an appointment on the website and bring a short list of documents: a 2-page application form, hotel reservation, flight ticket reservation, proof of employment, insurance, and a bank statement. Filling out the application takes about 15 minutes. The rest can be done online. The visa costs €80 now. The consulate is located in the Alpine Giant. »

« It's definitely a faux pas to visit Munich and not try beer with sausages, but unfortunately, after yesterday's indulgences, I can only manage tea. By the way, tea here costs almost as much as beer - €4. »
@gorozhanina_m
« The Third largest opera house in the world, the Bavarian State Opera. Ticket prices are only up to $215, which is quite affordable considering their salaries, unlike ours 😔 People in Munich attend the theater in long evening dresses or traditional costumes, which they, by the way, often wear for every occasion and holiday, of which they have plenty 😉 »

« Sleeping cabins at Munich Airport. 16 dollars per hour. »
@habby_pic
« We used the drivenow system to get to the airport. You find a car close to you, check in through the app, and drive wherever you want for 30 cents per minute. When we arrived at the airport, we parked the car in the special parking area and paid €26, which was €4 more than if we had taken public transport with transfers. »

« I found winter in Munich - at Karlsplatz. A tiny, artificial, yet beautiful winter in a box, which you can experience for 3-9$. 🎄✨ »

« "I dreamt of such a vacation while spending eight hours waiting for my flight after a ten-hour journey. And yet, there is somewhere the chance to sleep for $16 an hour." »

« The Marriott hotel in the outskirts of Munich, in Freising. A quick 15-minute shuttle ride to the airport (around $12 per person). I have to say, this is my favorite business hotel. Every time we stop here after spending time in the mountains, we're amazed – the design is constantly refreshed, everything is clean and tidy, as if we are the first guests in a brand new hotel. The room accommodates 4, with 3 beds, a full set of toiletries, organic tea, and "sleepy" chocolates. There's also an excellent Bavarian restaurant with some really old and delicious beer. The restaurant's interior impresses with its simplicity, but the details are what you have to see! And let me tell you about breakfast! I've never seen a buffet like this anywhere else! It consists of 4 "sections": a dairy corner with homemade Bavarian yogurts, a fruit bar, fresh pancakes made right in front of you, and various egg dishes cooked to order. Plus, the WiFi here is incredibly fast! And now, here's the best part! All this luxury for 4 people costs just $154 per night. Everyone should stop by here (if you're in the area). »

« Hi there! I thought, why not start a section #ontheroadwiththehostess and share my reviews of hotels we've stayed at? Maybe this experience could be helpful for someone else. Let's begin with Munich. The hotel Eropäischer Hof is located right across the street from the train station, which makes transfers from and to the airport super convenient. It's just a 3-minute walk to the main street. If your windows face the courtyard, you won't even notice the train station is nearby. It's very quiet. We had a two-room suite, which is essential for us since there are four of us. It was small but cozy, with a minibar. The beds were comfy. Everything was clean and tidy. The breakfast was a classic European spread - just a little bit of everything, and overall a nice selection. Coffee from the machine is a plus. We booked through Booking.com, and the total cost for four people with breakfast was around $185. It's a great place for a night or two, especially if you're in town to explore or shop. By the way, Munich is fantastic for shopping! 🙊 Oh, I almost forgot! The reception team was really welcoming - they gave the kids little gifts, like dynamo flashlights 🔦, and I got a rubber duck for the bath 😂😂😂. »

« This is just the first part. It’s a true paradise for bakers!!! I picked up some molds for around $40. Not because I took a whole cart, but because the smallest one costs $2. But now I know that the fine details just don’t cut well. Or maybe the dough needs to be super firm... The moose's legs would definitely snap off 100%! :) »
