« I'm sharing insights on Italian healthcare, one of my favorite topics after food. In Italy, it's crucial to get insured! If you find the right doctor, you might even get the last pair of prescription glasses made on the spot.

👩‍⚕️ Here’s what to expect:
- A visit to a therapist will cost around $160. For that price, you can have a decent conversation.
- A consultation with a gynecologist can range from $160 to $320, excluding any tests or treatments.
- A visit to a dentist will set you back about $105 to $160. A standard cleaning starts at $105. Getting braces could cost around $3,200. High-end dentistry may charge significantly more, especially for implants.

👩‍⚕️ Planning to have a child? Typically, you'll want to join the maternity care plan for about 5 months before the due date. You can receive 80% of your earnings monthly during this period. If you'd like to extend your maternity leave, it can last for another 6 months, but your compensation drops to 30%. Locating the right job can take time; initially, you might find roles that mesh well with your schedule.

👩‍⚕️ For a couple of hundred bucks, you can have a consultation irrespective of any ongoing issues you might have - be it constipation, gastritis, or skin concerns. Just remember: drink lots of fluids, take walks in the sun, try to stay calm, eat fresh fruits, and indulge in some quality water from that special brand you fancy.

👩‍⚕️ Don't worry if prices seem high; it’s worth it for the quality of service. You can access premium covers that include the whole family. This way, you can benefit from quality healthcare regardless of your situation.

« The Milan Cathedral is dedicated to Saint Mary of the Nativity. They built it over 500 years ago, thanks to the perseverance and money of its patrons. The Cathedral features 2,245 different statues and an array of stunning sculptures. These include the statues of saints and depictions from biblical stories, along with fantastical animal sculptures. The intricate details showcase many faces throughout history. You could logically assume that most of these are sponsored by the builders and their families.

Among the striking female figures located on the central balcony facade, many resemble the Statue of Liberty 🎭🎭🎭.

Another outstanding feature of the Milan Cathedral is the rooftop, equipped like a terrace, which you can access by elevator or stairs. You can walk all around the roof and admire the details as well as view the statues of angels, chimera, and biblical figures from different angles. 🌟

The ticket price is 18 euros (for the elevator); the stairs option is cheaper, around 10 euros for adults... »

« If you find yourself in Milan for a few days and don’t have a spare couple of thousand dollars for a shopping spree (like we did), consider taking a train to Verona on the second day. Venice is another option, but it's best to visit when the weather is warm.

You can buy train tickets online, with the price for two people round trip being around $43. Trains run every half hour, so you can choose the most convenient time for you.

The journey from Milan to Verona takes just about an hour and a half. »

« The Duomo Cathedral in Milan is absolutely stunning with its intricate craftsmanship. The numerous small details in the sculptures and stained glass are amazing, plus the sheer scale of the cathedral is breathtaking. It's no wonder it's considered the most significant in Gothic culture. Entry inside is €2, climbing the stairs costs €8, and taking the elevator is €13. We climbed up by ourselves—it was totally fine! 😊🕊️ »

« I’ll save you 10 euros and show you the exhibition. It feels like someone did a renovation but didn’t know where to put the eye-stinging masterpieces. »
@nata_krichi
« Those who don't pay the 10 euros for the museum entrance are just peeking through the windows. »
@gustodimilano
« If you're in Milan, make sure to set aside some time to visit Lake Como. If you take the train (Cadorna station), it costs about €8 round trip, and if you drive, expect around €27 for fuel and tolls. We actually stumbled into Switzerland by accident, and I didn't bring my passport, so they almost took me at the border 😂😅 So definitely remember to bring your passport 😉 For a beautiful photo and stunning views, take the funicular (about €5) and then hike for about 30 minutes uphill. It's totally worth it! 🇮🇹😏 »

« Walking to the rooftop of the Milan Cathedral? Pffft, easy! It’s only €8 😹 but taking the lift costs €10! The walk itself is pretty chill, by the way. Just be prepared for a spiral staircase and a very narrow corridor. If you have claustrophobia, it’s better to take the lift. You might regret saving that €2. But the panoramic viewpoint up there is really amazing! »

« After all the enthusiastic words about Italy, it’s only logical to wrap it up with something less flattering! And there’s plenty of that. Italy is definitely not on my list of places to visit as a tourist, and living there? No, thank you! I honestly can’t fathom how people manage to live with such prices. From transportation to food, everything feels overpriced. And don’t even get me started on the service charge, which is everywhere in cafes and restaurants (on top of taxes and other fees).

At exchange places, you end up paying around €20 just to exchange $100, so it’s definitely better to bring euros with you. I ended up with only €60 from the $100 I spent on getting to the Duomo from the airport (€23), having lunch with pizza and a drink (€24), buying a souvenir magnet (€5), and getting cookies from the mini bar. I even had an argument with the hotel staff over the service charge, which was nearly as much as the food I ordered. I canceled my order and got a reprimand, plus they even hung up on me – talk about service! I flew back without a single cent left... How do people live like that? How much do you have to earn to feel comfortable in Milan? And is it even possible to do that in Italy? In the end, I left feeling confused and frustrated. »

« A little about shopping in Milan. You definitely won't find a good quality item for under 100 euros... Anything above that can be considered a reference from the photos... Everything below that price tag is just low-quality stuff like Zara, Bershka, and other nonsense... The conclusion is simple – in Rome, Berlin, and many other European cities, you can get way better things for less cash... »
@svetlana__wolf
« If anyone ever tells you that Milan is very expensive because it's a fashion capital, don't listen! I was pleasantly surprised by the prices for clothing (even for branded items), but the delicious treats definitely cost us a pretty penny!!! :))) »
@n.a.c.italy
« 1190€ for a little Armani bag? Shock therapy in the heart of Milan! 😨 »
@marina_morozova_soprano
« Remembering yesterday's trip to the Expo in Milan! To be honest, my mood was spoiled by the parking... Specifically, its cost. €16.50, whether for 5 minutes, 10, or an hour. I think that’s just theft! It’s a lot even for Europe, especially Italy. And that's not even counting the price of entry tickets and food, which is three times more expensive than in the city. But after watching the Tree of Life show, all the negativity faded away and my heart was filled with positivity ☺️ »
@aigulkhairullina
« Of course, Milan's architectural heritage attracts attention, but so does the shopping scene. I heard about the four-story Zara from a friend! The new collections are pricey, but for the 2023-2024 season, there are crazy discounts. You won't find these prices elsewhere: blouses for $4-$6, skirts for $8-$10, and dresses starting at $11. Plus, the store itself is really beautiful! »
@maria_manskaya
« A new type of high-speed train, which started operating between major cities in Italy in June this year, is the Freccia Rossa Mille. So, if you need to get from Milan to Rome quickly, it's a great option. However, there is a downside: the ticket price is around $120. »
@alena_taskaeva
« We spent two days trying to get to EXPO in Milan, and yesterday we finally made it! A daytime ticket costs €32, but you can find some for €24. We went in the evening for just €5 from 7 to 11 PM. It was naive to think we could manage to see at least half of it. »
@julia_nm7
« Shopping in Milan! I had my experience.. And even though I only bought two t-shirts for a total of $16.. 😂😂😂 I'm not impressed, folks.. Not at all.. 😏 »
@_ivladimir_
« Our 30th (mini anniversary) flight was with EasyJet, the budget airline (kind of like a flying bus) mainly operating in Europe, and their prices are simply hilarious! Starting from $13 (one way). So, we’re off to Milan! 🎉✈️ »
@anna_katoto
« We took a train to Milan) Of course, one day is way too short to explore this beautiful city.. At the square, we had a rather unpleasant encounter with the local scene. There are people who really enjoy running up to unsuspecting tourists and quickly putting a simple thread bracelet on their wrists... and then demanding money for it right away. Before you realize what's happening, they surround you in a crowd, and suddenly you're expected to pay 10 euros for that bracelet. :O:O:'( Be careful!!! »
@val.ter
« Duomo Square, Milan.
In Italy, you even have to buy a ticket to enter a church; specifically, it's 2 euros for this cathedral. »
@kirstisha
« Milan. Duomo. In the Piazza del Duomo, the pigeon food vendors block your way, shoving corn into your hands even after you say "no, thanks!" And those vendors with dark skin cunningly offering wrist bracelets then ask for an outrageous amount of €20))) I think very few people fall for such an exorbitant price, but even if they get a euro from every tourist, they could make a decent living this way. They’re incredibly bold... If you refuse, they chase after you until they encounter someone rude... So watch out for those bracelet sellers!!! :) »
@lokhanina
« "We shopped like pros :) Now it’s time to eat. We stopped by the ETRO factory... really nice prices :)" »
@blackside_katty
« In the heart of Duomo, you find shops, cafes, and restaurants right here. Under the dome. The prices, oh my goodness 😱😂❗️🇮🇹 »
@allamilanese
« Finally, the De Chirico installation "Mysterious Bathing" has been restored; it only took half a century! 😂 The beauty is located in a courtyard where, by the way, there's a really worthwhile exhibition. I made a mistake and didn’t buy a ticket for the expo, ended up paying 13 dollars for entry! 😞 »
