« We started buying gifts for ourselves 😍 Already picked up a few things 😂 Well, not just for ourselves ))) I’ll show you everything in the last day! Do you buy souvenirs in little souvenir shops? Well, let me tell you, I’m talking about those that are in historic centers, every five meters, and inside each of them, you find the same stuff? 👐 Of course, we popped into a couple of those for fun, but... 🤷‍♀️ If you go a bit further from the center down some side street, you’ll always find tiny shops with completely different souvenirs, often handmade by local artisans, and they’re so beautiful 😍 We encountered a couple of those shops yesterday and just could not leave without making a purchase ❤️ Check out one of them in the story! »

« Imagine a city where instead of roads, there are canals, and instead of cars, boats glide by. It's known as Venice. Visiting here is definitely worth it. The salty sea air fills your lungs. I haven't eaten salt in over 6 years, so the scent hits hard. Unlike in some places, there's no humidity here. The air feels dry and fresh. You can breathe easily. Hair doesn’t get frizzy. 😄

As soon as the sun dips below the horizon, it gets dark and chilly; tourists vanish from the streets, and the city becomes what they say is ‘buried’. Walking around at night can be quite eerie, because you encounter many tourists (and other visitors) on the streets. Side streets are incredibly narrow, with most around 1.5-2 meters wide. There are a few larger ones (3-4 meters), but practically all streets are tight. The buildings are tall (3-4 stories). Because of this, it can feel somewhat labyrinthine. The nights can easily lose their warmth, and by evening, it feels quite dim. I’ve taken two walks after sunset; it felt very strange.

Especially memorable was a moment when a certain creature started growling at me like a dog and chased me down the street. 😡 My advice? When the sun disappears, just go inside. The lighting in the city is practically nonexistent. At night, Venice becomes quite creepy and eerie. 🥶 »

« The whole day at San Marco Square was a carnival of thousands of Venetians showcasing stunning costumes. 🎭 It was a grand celebration! Can you even imagine how many people came to see this event? 😄 The variety of colors, shapes, and styles was a feast for the eyes and brought smiles to everyone.

Whimsical, funny, and even spooky masks exchanged hands, making everyone look back in awe. 😍 Speaking of which, the famous golden lion wasn’t as vibrant as we might have expected. The winged lion, depicted on the flag, is unwaveringly lifted above the heads of tourists to the sound of applause.

And still, it’s mesmerizing! A video shows just a glimpse of this magical event. 😉 »

« Venice, chapter 1 "Familiarity". Having been to Rome, Milan, Genoa, Turin, I thought that Venice was just another Italian city, but it stands out – here transportation is done by boats instead of cars. No! Venice is an incredible creation! It's the best that could have been created by Titian, Botticelli, Vivaldi, Galileo, Da Vinci, all taken together. It’s beautiful everywhere here. Even if, like a backdrop, a wall of a four-hundred-year-old house, the brick of which keeps the secrets of generations, modestly peeks out from the water. Narrow alleys, where to pass by a meeting person, you have to squeeze against the wall. And suddenly walking along which, you may find yourself in an unexpectedly wide square, decorated with a monument to some noteworthy resident of Venice. The streets and walls of the houses are the silent witnesses of the lives and creations of people whose names have long become a part of human history. It's an astonishing, surreal, and uplifting city. Perhaps, having visited Florence, my impression would have changed, but Venice is something you need to see and feel! It’s all about the feeling. Because neither photos, nor videos, nor words can convey what these alleys, boats, numerous cafes, gatherings, and breathtaking beauty of the canals hold within them. 🌊✨ »

« Venice. Few words, just emotions... 🛶✨ It's a magical place that feels like a dream come true. Strolling through the winding canals, I was swept away by the beauty of the ancient architecture and the charm of the gondolas gliding by. The food is an experience in itself; you simply must try the local seafood dishes. 🍝 The vibrant atmosphere, with the sounds of laughter and music, wraps around you, making you forget the outside world. Every corner reveals something new, whether it's a quaint little shop or a stunning view of the Grand Canal. 💖 Venice is not just a destination; it's a feeling that stays with you long after you've left. »

« Venice is a true city-monument, where absolutely any building can claim to be historical.

I fell in love with Venice, despite all the stories about its dampness, mold on the houses, unpleasant musty smells, and dirty water, etc. For me, Venice is the scent of coffee, the sea, carnival masks, glass arts, and fresh pastries. The narrow, winding streets with unexpected turns, leading to yet another narrow alley that takes you further, left the biggest impression on me. »

« If you're planning to visit Venice, I highly recommend doing it within the next 5-10 years. Because it's likely that it won't be the same then. This city is wonderful. I'm still amazed by it. »

« Venice - a classic photo opportunity! :-) This is my second visit to Venice, and surprisingly, I enjoyed the city much more this time. The sound of water, the chatter of tourists, the aromas of freshly baked pastries and pizza, the sparkle of Murano glass in the shop windows... it has made me want to come back again. »

« A city on the water 😊 It's amazing and mysterious, but incredibly beautiful... »

« I think I fell in love with Venice))) I haven't felt so many emotions in a long time))) We wandered around the whole city, bought all the glass candy and stuffed ourselves with delicious pasta))) We strolled in super waterproof bright boots through the flooded streets and squares))) And when the water receded, we took a walk in a quiet park and admired the view of the Adriatic Sea))) »

« I don't understand why there are so many negative reviews about Venice. I really liked it. Beautiful and unique. We weren't affected by the dampness or dirt, and the hotel was magnificent. ❤ »

« I’ve heard a lot of different opinions... I really liked Venice. A lot. It’s not really a place where you want to live. But I definitely want to come back. And I absolutely want to ride along the Grand Canal again. »

« In this city, everything seems to follow the principle of the Leaning Tower. It's incredibly beautiful, and you can't help but wonder why nothing collapses, rots, sinks, stinks, or breaks. It's the kind of place that makes you want to come back just to take another look. »
