« Devin Castle is just 8 km from Bratislava. The views are stunning! It's breathtaking! From the castle, you can see the confluence of the Danube and Morava rivers, and on the opposite side is Austria. The access to the very top was closed, which slightly dampened the overall experience; the entrance fee is around $1.60. I love places like this; my soul takes flight in them! 😊 »

« I'm walking on the rooftops of Bratislava! The comfortable train from Budapest to Bratislava takes 2.5 hours and costs 32 euros for a one-way ticket, while a round trip is just 20 euros. As a woman, the logic is absolutely clear to me. 😊 »

« I spent the night above Bratislava, on a hill near the city. Yesterday, I was torn between staying at a hostel (which cost $5 for the night, by the way) or camping out in my tent. In the end, my feelings won, and I trudged up the hill. »

« There are plenty of rumors about prices in Bratislava after the movie "EuroTrip." In reality, it’s not as cheap as some might think, but prices are definitely lower than in neighboring Austria and, from my experience, in the Czech Republic as well.

For instance:
- A scoop of ice cream - €1;
- A bottle of water in the supermarket - €0.30;
- A 30-minute bus ride - €0.45;
- Admission to the UFO Tower viewing platform - €6.50 (with ISIC discount €3.35). We traveled to Bratislava from Prague by bus for €45 round trip for two, and we spent about €30 for a day in the city, which is pretty budget-friendly for Europe. »

« Breaking stereotypes from the movie "Eurotrip". Bratislava is a really charming little town, but you can't open your own hotel for 10 cents here (after all, the cheapest magnet costs €4), so we move on... »

« Great children's rope playground at the Bratislava Zoo for ages 3 and up, entrance fee is €3.5. »

« You can not only sit but also enjoy the view! A bathroom with a city view! All for just 6 euros! »

« So, my hostel in Bratislava took an honorable second place among the coolest hostels I've stayed at. First place still goes to Hipstel in Barcelona.

In Bratislava, though, it's a super cool hostel with spacious rooms and a very cozy vibe. The beds are wide and high, you can sit on them comfortably without bending your head. Each bed comes with a locker, plus there's a summer terrace, a garden with swings, and two kitchens with tea, coffee, and cocoa.

The coziness level is off the charts. It's very clean and well-maintained. Each room accommodates 6-8 people and has its own shower and toilet. The price of happiness is $15, which feels a bit steep for Bratislava, but it was the cheapest option available. By the way, there's also a tax of $1.75, but if you're a student or under 26, you don’t have to pay it. And of course, I'm a student and under 26! 😊 »
