« Valencia is an incredibly convenient metro, I remember when I first arrived here, I read about the transport system and thought that I might never get the hang of it... But it turns out it’s easy, comfortable, fast, and best of all, not expensive!!! If you buy one, two, or more trips, you can get a ticket for €1.60, but there’s a discount if you buy 10 trips, called the bonometro, and then one ride costs only €0.80 – feel the difference, as they say!!! And they run on schedule, and everything lights up on the tablet... If it’s your first time, there’s no need to rush; just calmly look up the route, and you'll have no trouble at all!!! I look forward to visitors, if anyone plans to come and visit us in Valencia!!! »

« I have long dreamed of visiting Valencia. That's why we started our trip to Spain from this city, even though we had just landed in Barcelona.

What a stylish place! It's an authentic center, not too crowded with tourists, which is a breath of fresh air. The food is excellent, and the atmosphere is inviting; it just could have been sunnier, but it was only cloudy during our stay. Valencia is known to be one of the sunniest cities in Spain.

You can find lots of information online, so I'm not going to delve too much into the historical aspect. Just to note, at this time of year, decent 4* hotels average around €35 per night. We managed to book a place for 9 days for just $45 per night (without insurance) — what a steal!

Tomorrow, we’re heading south, and it seems like the country only gets larger! 😅

I really want to get some recommendations for Granada, Ronda, Seville and the surrounding areas. 🙏 Everything was shot on the XT20 with a 27mm lens. »

« It's so convenient to take a high-speed train from Gandia or Valencia to Madrid. I got a round-trip ticket for $130, staying overnight in Madrid and planning to return tomorrow. You can even come back the same day in the evening. Plus, the train from Gandia to Valencia and back is included in the price — just show your high-speed train ticket at the station, and they'll give you a free ticket for the local train. The travel time from Valencia to Madrid is one and a half hours, with an average train speed of 255 km/h. Comfortable seats, music (they give headphones for free), and a restroom in every carriage. Foldable tables make it easy to use a laptop. The temperature in the cabin is just right, and there are documentary programs on the TVs. »

« It was quite challenging to find a budget-friendly option since we were heading to Spain after that wild currency rate jump. For us, 1€ equaled about 1.20$ 😔, so we were looking for the most economical way to get there and see all the beauty with our own eyes!

1) First, you need to get to the Barcelona train station, Barcelona-Plaça Espanya (the metro station is España, and you can easily find the right place by the signs). You can buy a ticket on-site at the terminal, selecting a round-trip; it costs around 20$ (as of October 2023). This is the only amount you'll need to pay—the ticket includes both the train and the cogwheel train that will take you to the famous site! 😱😎🤗 The entrance itself is free, and you can spend the whole day there, marveling at these views... »

« We stumbled upon the city’s central market and, oh my goodness, the amount of deliciousness here is incredible. Forgive me for those feeling the pressure of sanctions right now. Fruits, cheeses, meats, ice cream, the freshest seafood... And let’s talk about alcohol — that’s a whole different story. Prices for wine in stores start at around 75 cents. So if I return home significantly heavier, don’t blame me! 😂 »

« Valencia has a lot of well-equipped playgrounds. Aquariums, zoos, and playrooms. Activities for every taste. If you want to do some shopping or enjoy a quiet cup of tea, you can safely leave the kids in a playroom for a couple of hours, like a kids' club in the same shopping center. There are restrooms and drinking water in disposable cups inside. Kids are returned only to the person who left them, provided you have a ticket. The cost is €5.50 per hour. »

« Valencia is the perfect city for cyclists! You can rent a bike for just 9 euros a day and explore all the sights. There are bike lanes everywhere, allowing you to ride around the city, along the beach, and through parks without bothering cars or pedestrians. Cars don’t park on the bike lanes, and pedestrians don’t walk on them either, which is quite different from many places I've been, where bike lanes are often blocked or misused. 😊🚴‍♀️ »

« Yesterday we visited Valencia, specifically the science museum. I can definitely recommend this place for both adults and kids. Tickets: adult tickets are $9, children's tickets are $7. My child was most fascinated by the chicks hatching from eggs right before our eyes, trying to stand on their little legs. I was particularly impressed by the display about the structure of chromosomes. »

« Renting a scooter is the key to freedom of movement in Valencia. If you have limited time to explore the city, consider renting a scooter or an electric moped. This mode of transport allows you to navigate Valencia easily, especially during the summer when temperatures rarely drop below 77 degrees Fahrenheit. Depending on the tourist season, the average daily rental price is around $33, which includes basic insurance. 🛵☀️ »

« The most iconic nightclub in Valencia during the summer! Disco bar Terraza L’Umbracle is a trendy spot for the youth, located in the Umbracle garden, which is part of the City of Arts and Sciences. The location of the bar is incredibly advantageous. The interior is stylishly designed, with a lounge and dance hall on the second floor, while the first floor houses the club Mya. The entrance fee (covering both floors) is 16 euros, which includes one drink. Average cocktail prices are around 11 euros, and beers cost about 4.50 euros. The bar boasts an extensive cocktail menu and well-organized parties. The club enforces a facial control policy, and there’s a dress code to follow. The nightclub and bar open at 1 AM and operate until the early morning. VIP table pricing starts at a minimum of 160 euros for a group of 5 people; just a quick call to reserve, and the operator will assist you in finding the best spot. »

« We traveled from Barcelona to Salou via a toll road (about 100 km), and we spent around 16.50 euros for this stretch. The road is certainly beautiful, winding through the mountains, but we wanted to experience the local charm, so we took a route through a small town and passed by some villages on our way to Valencia. It took almost an hour longer, but it was worth the comparison. »

« Jardin Botanico - it's all about witnessing the growth of bananas, sneaking a taste of various mint types, reminiscing about past travels, and holding back the urge to pet the cacti... This is the botanical garden of Valencia.

The entry fee is just €3. Peace, romance, and connection with nature are guaranteed. There are no crowds of tourists, so you can find your own little corner to relax, and for an extra touch of coziness, a friendly cat might just curl up at your feet. If you're lucky enough to meet a sociable feline. In fact, there are plenty of cats around the garden. In short, highly recommended! 🌿🐾 »

« For 2 euros, we rode the Ferris wheel about ten times! 😊 »

« In Valencia, there's a trend for macarons too. I counted 27 different types. A pyramid of 45 pieces costs €68. Who loves these treats? Share your feelings! 🍰✨ »

« L'Umbracle Disco. The most iconic club in Valencia during the summer. It operates every night from 11 PM until the morning. The entrance fee (including a drink) is €9 before 2 AM and €16 after 2 AM, with ladies getting in for free until 2 AM and then paying €9 (including a drink). »

« While everyone is relaxing and sipping on their beers, I ask about the tickets, the cheapest ones are €300. »

« On the last day of my trip, I'm back in Valencia, sitting and smoking at Plazadelavirgen. The prices here are quite something: tea - $2.20, cigarettes - $5.00. So, to enjoy this part of Europe, you definitely need to earn well, especially if you smoke))) »
