Purana Quila
Purana Quila stands at the edge of New Delhi, with its impressive walls rising to 18 meters. Built during the 16th century, this historic fort is one of the oldest in the city and is believed to be located near the site of the ancient city of Indraprastha. The main focus of Purana Quila is its robust architecture, including the monumental gates like the Bara Darwaza, which draw visitors for exploration. From October to March, the fort hosts a popular sound and light show that narrates its rich history. Visitors can stroll around the sprawling grounds, enjoy a boat ride on the water surrounding it, and admire the various indigenous flora and fauna present in the area.
