Rashtrapati Bhavan
Rashtrapati Bhavan sits on Rajpath in New Delhi and serves as the official residence of the President of India. Built between 1912 and 1931, it features a unique blend of Indian and European architectural styles, designed by British architect Edwin Lutyens. Spanning over 330 acres, this monumental structure is noteworthy not just for its grand scale—housing 340 rooms—but also for its vast gardens that host the annual Mughal Gardens festival each February and March. Visitors can explore the beautifully landscaped gardens and view the impressive Durbar Hall, which holds the President's throne. As the seat of the nation’s highest office, Rashtrapati Bhavan is both a significant historical site and a functioning government building.
