« While I'm stuck at work, my friend is zipping around the city on Go-Jek motorcycles. These guys are unbothered by traffic jams; they can drive on the shoulder if need be. Go-Jek is everywhere, ready to take you somewhere or deliver a crate of beer to your home, clean your place, or iron your shirts—all services are neatly packed into their mobile app. They can even come over to give you a massage or manicure at home, dye your hair, and give you a haircut. A ride with Go-Jek will cost you about $1.50, while cleaning the entire apartment and ironing seven shirts set me back $6.50. Isn’t that just amazing? »

« Today we found wedding venues. It's not like a restaurant or a buffet, as it is sometimes done. Here, you rent a hall for 2 hours, and the price already includes a buffet, decor (artificial flowers and decorations), and the registration or blessing ceremony. This is what an empty hall looks like, waiting for the newlyweds. One hall is small, accommodating no more than 100 people, while the larger one can host up to 500 guests. Prices start from $7,000. »

« Today we are in Jakarta – the capital of Indonesia. It was a tough day – an early flight and heavy bags 😅 but we managed to get through it! We walked around the entire exhibition. The furniture is incredibly interesting, reflecting the latest trends! Right now, sustainability and the decorative qualities of natural materials are in vogue and highly popular worldwide. In the photo, there's a model of a table made from a single piece of solid wood. Prices for such tabletops are pleasantly surprising! »

« In Indonesia, it’s easy to feel like a millionaire: the number of zeros is overwhelming – I took a taxi for a six-digit sum and still didn't quite understand how much change I received, wondering if I was shortchanged, just like with the visa – you give them $100, and they hand you a visa for $35 (it went up by $10 recently) and a stack of rupiah. It’s dizzying, but at least I didn’t have to go to a currency exchange; it’s enough for the first while. »

« In Jakarta, there's the National Monument. It houses a museum of the country's history and an observation deck. The ticket for one adult costs $1.50. »

« "Arriving in Java at Jakarta airport, the first thing we did was check into a very simple but clean hotel for $3 and then went to grab a bite to eat." »

« "This is really a rip-off! $6 for the airport fee added to the ticket price. I need to get out of here!" »
