Ueno Zoo
Ueno Zoo, established in 1882, is Japan's oldest zoo and can be found within Ueno Park in Tokyo's Taitō district. This renowned institution spans approximately 14.3 hectares and serves as a home for over 3,000 animals representing around 400 species. A key feature of Ueno Zoo is its successful breeding programs for endangered species, including the iconic giant panda, which has captivated visitors since their arrival. During the spring months of March and April, guests can enjoy not only the animals but also the beautiful cherry blossoms that line the paths. Visitors can observe fascinating creatures such as the snow leopards and Asian elephants, making it a perfect spot for animal enthusiasts and families alike.
