Deoksugung

  Deoksugung sits at 99, Sejong-daero, in the heart of Seoul's Jung-gu district. Dating back to the late 14th century, it once served as a royal residence for several Korean kings. The main feature of the palace is its unique blend of traditional Korean and Western architectural styles, visible in structures like the elegant Seokjojeon Hall, built in 1910. Visitors particularly enjoy the changing of the guard ceremony that takes place daily at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. In spring, the cherry blossoms along the palace's stone wall create a picturesque setting ideal for leisurely strolls.
