Metronom

  Metronom, situated in Letná Park just above the Vltava River, is an iconic kinetic sculpture that has marked Prague's skyline since its installation in 1991. Originally a giant clock, it stands at 75 feet tall and was built on the site of the former statue of Joseph Stalin, making it a notable piece of the city's layered history. The primary purpose of Metronom is to serve both as a timepiece and a public art installation, offering a unique blend of function and creativity. Visitors can watch the pendulum swing back and forth, which happens every 30 seconds, providing an interesting spectacle that can be appreciated year-round.
