Petřín Lookout Tower
Rising above the tranquil gardens of Petřín Hill, Petřín Lookout Tower is a striking lattice structure that was completed in 1891 as a miniature replica of the Eiffel Tower. Standing at 63.5 meters tall, it provides visitors with panoramic views of Prague's historic skyline, making it a popular spot for both tourists and locals alike. Historically, the tower was built to celebrate the 1891 Jubilee Exhibition, showcasing not just engineering prowess, but also the growing spirit of Czech identity at the time. Accessible from Újezd street, the tower is particularly lovely in spring, as cherry blossoms bloom nearby, adding to the picturesque surroundings. Once at the top, guests can enjoy breathtaking vistas, and on clear days, even see the peaks of the surrounding Šumava mountains.
