Obélisque de la Concorde

  Rising prominently at Place de la Concorde in Paris, the Obélisque de la Concorde is a striking example of ancient Egyptian architecture. Dating back to around 1250 BC, this 23-meter high granite obelisk was originally erected at the Luxor Temple and later transported to France in 1836. The beautiful hieroglyphs etched into its sides tell the history of Ramesses II, making it an important historical artifact.
