Berlin Wall
Berlin Wall, an iconic symbol of the Cold War, stretches through central Berlin, notably running along Bernauer Straße. Built in 1961, this barrier divided East and West Berlin, marking a stark separation that lasted for 28 years. Today, visitors can explore preserved segments of the wall and various memorials that offer insights into its history. During the warmer months, particularly in May and June, the area sees plenty of activity as both locals and tourists engage with the site. Interactive displays and the East Side Gallery, where artists have transformed a remaining stretch of the wall, provide a thought-provoking experience of Berlin's turbulent past.
