Semperoper

  Built in 1841, Semperoper serves as Dresden's renowned opera house and is a stellar example of Neoclassical architecture. Located on Theaterplatz, near the famous Zwinger Palace, this venue was designed by architect Gottfried Semper and has hosted numerous world-class performances, making it a cultural cornerstone of the city. The opera house features a stunning façade adorned with sculptures, and its grand auditorium can seat 1,300 guests. In July and August, visitors can enjoy a range of operas and ballets as part of its summer festival.
