Ancient Agora

  Ancient Agora sits in the heart of Athens, just northwest of the Acropolis. Dating back to the 6th century BC, this expansive site served as the center of political, social, and economic life in ancient Athens. Visitors can explore the well-preserved Temple of Hephaestus, an impressive structure dedicated to the god of craftsmanship, which stands at approximately 13.5 meters high. Open year-round, it’s particularly inviting in the spring months of April and May when the surrounding flora blooms.
