Zappeion
Zappeion stands in the heart of Athens, adjacent to the National Garden and near the iconic Panathenaic Stadium. Built in 1888, this neoclassical structure originally served as a venue for the first modern Olympic Games' ceremonial events. Today, it functions as an exhibition and conference center, hosting various cultural events throughout the year. In spring, visitors can stroll through the surrounding gardens, which feature over 500 species of flora, making it a pleasant spot for a leisurely walk or a quick visit. Inside, you can appreciate the elegant architecture and explore temporary art exhibitions that often take place within its historic walls.
