Elizabeth lookout
Built in the early 20th century, Elizabeth lookout rises above the Buda Hills, providing visitors with an impressive vantage point over Budapest. This lookout is named in honor of Queen Elisabeth of Hungary, also known as Sisi, who was a significant figure in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Positioned along the Árpád út, the lookout features a circular viewing platform that is 26 meters high, allowing for panoramic views of the city skyline and the Danube River below. During the spring months, the surrounding greenery bursts into life, showcasing a variety of native trees and flora. Visitors can enjoy the stunning scenery, take memorable photographs, and explore nearby hiking trails that wind through the picturesque hills.
