St. Gellért square

  St. Gellért Square sits prominently at the junction of Kelenhegyi út and Gellért Hill in Budapest’s central district. The square is named after the revered St. Gerard of Csanád, who was martyred in the area in the 11th century. A striking feature of the square is the Gellért Spa, which boasts a beautiful Art Nouveau exterior and has been a popular bathing destination since its opening in 1918. Throughout spring, from March to May, visitors can enjoy well-maintained gardens and lively local events. In addition to relaxing at the spa, guests can explore the nearby Liberty Bridge and enjoy views of the Danube River.
