Ponte dei Sospiri

  Ponte dei Sospiri, or the Bridge of Sighs, sits at the intersection of the Palazzo Ducale and the prison in Venice. Built in 1600, this archway links the Doge's Palace to the prison, embodying a poignant history where prisoners would take their last glance at freedom. The bridge features a notable white limestone design and spans 11 meters in length, offering a striking passageway with its ornate detail.
