Ķengaraga promenāde
Ķengaraga promenāde stretches along the Daugava River in Riga, offering a scenic route for both locals and visitors. Established in the early 2000s, this promenade not only enhances the waterfront experience but also commemorates the history of the area, which once thrived on river trade. The main feature is a well-maintained walkway that spans approximately 1.5 kilometers, perfect for leisurely strolls or cycling. In the warmer months, particularly from May to September, the promenade becomes lively with outdoor events and markets. Visitors can take in views of the river, enjoy nearby cafés, and appreciate the diverse flora along the path, creating a pleasant atmosphere for relaxation and recreation.
