Hill of Three Crosses

  Hill of Three Crosses rises above the picturesque Old Town of Vilnius, offering a striking silhouette against the sky. Constructed in 1989, this monument commemorates the memory of three Franciscan monks who were martyred in the 14th century, serving as an important symbol of Lithuanian resilience. The site features four tall white crosses that stand at about 20 meters high, making it a notable landmark visible from many parts of the city. Visitors can hike up the hill, particularly enjoyable in May when the surrounding flora is in full bloom, providing a vibrant backdrop. From the top, you can enjoy panoramic views of Vilnius's skyline and the winding Neris River below.
