  Kon-Tiki Museet sits on Bygdøy peninsula in Oslo, just a short ferry ride from the city center. Built in 1950, this museum showcases the adventurous spirit of Thor Heyerdahl, who famously crossed the Pacific Ocean on the balsa wood raft, Kon-Tiki, in 1947.
