Kosciuszko Mound
Kosciuszko Mound rises prominently in the Krakow neighborhood of Zwierzyniec, standing as a tribute to the Polish national hero Tadeusz Kościuszko. Completed in 1823, this conical earthen structure reaches a height of 34 meters and is composed of soil from various notable sites around Poland, symbolizing the unity of the nation. The mound serves as both a memorial and a viewpoint, offering panoramic vistas of Krakow and the Vistula River from its summit. During the spring months of April and May, visitors can enjoy the blooming flora surrounding the area, including diverse species of trees and plants.
